Medical Internship

“My name is Linn and I am a 5th year medical student at the Medical University in Varna, Bulgaria, I completed my summer practice this year in Doctor Cohen’s clinic and I had an amazing time. First of all I have to thank Dr Cohen and his team for this experience. Dr Cohen, Dr Bradley and Dr Roth are great teachers. All of them took their time to explain me all medical details and answered all my questions.

I learned a lot about family medicine as well as dealing with all different kind of patients. This experience will help me a lot in dealing with patients one day all by myself. Seeing Dr Cohen with all his patience talking to people impressed me a lot and I hope on day I can maintain this kindness and professionality towards my patients. I have shadowed many doctors in years past and truthfully, I believe the physicians here at this clinic are the most patient-centered, compassionate, and ethical doctors I have come across. Dr. Cohen and Dr. Roth are both amazing GPs and excel at their careers. They see travellers from all over the world and within minutes of a consultation I was able to tell how comfortable patients were with them. I learned so much more than I ever thought I would while here and this internship has helped me decide on family medicine as a specialty for my future. “I interned with Dr. Cohen while completing my Premedical year at Bar Ilan University. I highly recommend the internship to anyone before or during their medical education. I learned so much from observing him and asking questions about his decision making process and interactions with patients. He was fantastic to learn from because he gives his patients holistic health advice and solutions in addition to traditional medicine. I feel more prepared going into a career in medicine after my internship.

I had a great experience following him during his consultations. Indeed, he listens carefully to his patients and their expectations. He is a good teacher and spent a lot of time to explain the medical cases he’s experienced to me. I am grateful that he was always available for questions.
